Care & Buying Guide
Daily Use
Avoid pulling, sliding, or dragging objects across the surface, as abrasive friction can cause scratches.
Coasters and trivets are advised to minimise exposure to heat. Do not put cookware or other high heat objects directly onto the surface.
Cleaning
Use a damp, soft cloth to wipe surface.
Do not use scouring pads, acidic detergents, or abrasive cleaning products, which may permanently scratch, stain, or damage the surface.
Marble is porous, and will absorb stains from acidic liquids such as vinegar, wine, fruit juices, coffee and tea. Clean spills immediately with a soft damp cloth and neutral soap.
Treatment of GUBI’s marble tops should be performed by a professional, or at the customer's own risk.
Exposure
Prolonged exposure to sunlight will cause fading over time, and discolouration can occur when objects placed on the surface are left in the same place for long periods.
Excessive weight or impact can crack marble, as well as extended exposure to moisture.
