Fresh thinking: our expert buyers pick their favourite pieces from our New Collection

With brighter, warmer days on the horizon – and a chance to throw open the doors to entertain – the New Collection at Heal’s reflects a growing desire for colour and vibrancy in our homes as we emerge from hibernation and step into a new season.

In furniture, we’re celebrating the beauty of natural materials with a mix of oak and travertine to create a sense of texture and luxury, while pops of colour are introduced through soft, sculptural lighting and stripes and checks place pattern at the heart of our home accessories.

A new aesthetic of comfort-conscious upholstery is also emerging with a range of sumptuous bedding and sofas that feel as light as a feather.

Just in time for sunnier times, our expert buyers select their favourite pieces across furniture, lighting, accessories and soft furnishings, sure to inspire fresh thinking in how to decorate your spaces.

It’s time to hit refresh.

“I’m thrilled about our New Collection. It’s really considered and cohesive, bringing a sense of style, with accents of colour and pattern. I really hope our customers will be inspired by the new pieces, which marry superior design with enduring quality.

A stand-out for me is the Astrid modular sofa, which combines versatility and aesthetics. The modular design makes it easy to suit any space from small-living to cinema rooms. Additionally, the duck feather and down seat cushion fill and extra padding offer supreme comfort.

For bedrooms, the launch of our Marlow four-poster bed in an oak finish will bring luxury to pared-back interiors.

In soft furnishings, the Giro rug by GAN is a real talking point and the Anais mirrors – oval and round – are an elegant addition to our best-selling collection of the same name.

Sabina Miller, Buying Director

“In textiles, I love the Giro rug by Valencia-based GAN, which uses colour and texture to create a fun optical illusion of unfolding cylinders.

I think the new styles in our popular Ribbon collection of lighting are welcome additions, providing versatility as either a wall light or table lamp.

Lastly, I’m really excited about the introduction of travertine as a beautiful natural material in our own-brand furniture, too. It provides a warmer and less formal look than Carrara marble, which we already offer in our Anais collection paired with rich walnut.”

Hannah Armstrong, Senior Furniture Buyer

“I’m really excited about our super-stylish bedding from Camomile London for layering with our plain bedding collections, especially the fresh seersucker and organic cotton sateen sets.

Also in textiles, I’m obsessed by the cushions from Lucy Silvester – Lifetime and Mushroom – who is part of our Heal’s Discovers programme to champion up-and-coming talent. Her nature-inspired prints and colour palettes are sublime.

When it comes to accessories, I love the new Heal’s + L.F. Markey pieces, especially the colour updates to the collection of mugs. They are well priced and make for a great present.

Looking ahead to summer, Niwaki is a brilliant brand for budding gardeners, offering excellent quality Japanese tools such as the secateurs, cultivator and trowel

In furniture, the Pillow bed is a positively dreamy design, plus it has concealed storage.”

Hannah Thistlethwaite, Senior Buyer & Sustainability Lead

“I love the additional products in lighting as they’re soft, fabric-focused and represent a step-change for us in terms of style. The Raie striped table lamp and Sheer pendant light are stand-out pieces while the Rygrad floor lamp has all the hallmarks of a future best-seller.

Elsewhere, I’ll definitely be buying the bedding from Camomile London in the sage, peach blossom and ochre colourway.”

Claire Anstey, Lighting Buyer

“In Brands, I’m very excited about the launch of the exclusive Brewer Green colourway available on select pieces in our collection of Eos outdoor furniture designed by Matthew Hilton for Case. It’s great to see how we can refresh a popular and timeless range with a modern colour trend.

I also love the new pieces we’re adding to the outdoor offering by Fritz Hansen, especially the Virkelyst outdoor lounge chair and sofa, in either a striped blue or yellow fabric. The designs have a Scandinavian look with a simple frame and deep, soft cushions. It’s so comfortable!

Elsewhere, the Pillow storage bed and Camomile London bedding are my favourite pieces.”
