Created by Patricia Urquiola, Almendra is a modular lighting system whose shapes and colours are reminiscent of the almond tree, from which it takes its name.
Product Story
Almendra is an ambitious project in terms of design and materials, a synthesis of poetry and sustainability achieved with the help of sublime design and cutting-edge technology. Each leaf can be turned in steps of 60º (provided that the symmetry of the appliance is respected so that the lamp remains balanced once assembled) to obtain a different configuration and lighting emission.

Almendra can be completely dismantled, and each part can be recycled properly depending on the material.

The material used for Almendra’s leaves is produced with 100% sustainable resources and no petroleum.

Leaves are made of a special plastic with same characteristics of polycarbonate deriving from waste/oil coming from paper production.
