Heal's Owl Cabinet
This limed oak tallboy is a much-loved design, affectionately known as the owl cabinet because of the distinctive large roundels to the top cupboard, giving it an owl-like appearance. With four large drawers under the top cupboard it is a practical and attractive storage unit for today, considering it was introduced after the First World War and continued in production until the end of the 1920s.
Heal’s 100, is a curated exhibition showing the 100 best items sold at Heal’s in the last 100 years. The selection of products is not only based on what the company sells today, but also pieces from Heal’s archive, now held by the V&A museum.
