Organic shapes are handmade and hand-painted in Portugal with a reactive glaze creating a subtle mottled glaze pattern.

The range is made from terracotta, a clay with a rich body colour, giving the characteristic base colour. It's used due to its very good insulating qualities, helping to keep food warm on the table.

Maria Portugal Terracota is a brand from a family owned company whose routes date back to 1900, when the founding ancestor, Maria, first started producing ceramic items. The inspiration is provided by older pieces, traditional shapes and genuine production techniques and procedures, to which art and design are no strangers.
