Product Story
Seoto has been designed by Motomi Kawakami. A chair with an impressively light form, featuring a single piece of wood that extends down from the back rest to the armrest, and in to the back legs. Motomi has used the wood bending technique to form the back rest, a typical feature of Hida furniture. Seoto is the embodiment of true Japanese craft and design Hida is situated in the heart of the Gifu province and often described as the 'country of forests' because of the deep relationship its people have with the ancient trees. The armrests have been beautifully considered which won the designer the Good Design Award in 2012.
