The story behind this product

Renowned for her decorative porcelain tableware, Mia Sarosi produces contemporary crafted pieces that are hand thrown and hand painted. The Rainforest Collection takes inspiration from Sarosi's travels through equatorial West Africa, removing her from any scale of tourism to experience one of the few remaining pristine rainforests. It took Mia three days to get into the jungle in Odzala National Park, a huge reserve in the north east of the country bordering Gabon, Cameroon and Central Africa Republic. Once in the jungle, she found the abundance of life hugely inspiring. Back at home in her studio in Oxfordshire, she created the beautifully crafted Rainforest range exclusively for Heal’s that adds new pattern to her existing collections of Octopus and Fireworks.

Each unique piece is hand thrown and painted in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire.
Beautiful, tropical pattern creates an interesting talking point to your table setting.
Looks perfect as the centrepiece alongside other subtle toned tableware such as Ist London's porcelain range.
Finished with a glaze to create a smooth texture and easy clean surface.

Mia Sarosi

Renowned for her decorative porcelain tableware, Mia Sarosi produces contemporary crafted home accessories that are thrown and finished by hand. Working with ceramics since 1991, Mia began her career as an artist painting Delftware reproductions before learning the art of making ceramics by spending time at various potteries.
