The story behind this product
A fusion of East and West, Jaime Hayon’s Formakami JH18 Table Lamp for &Tradition reinvents ancient Asian lanterns.
Hayon was inspired by paper lanterns that have been present in Asia for centuries. Traditionally, different colours, shapes and sizes would denote different meaning. For the Formakami, Hayon stripped the design back to its purest elements.
Each dimmable light is individually handcrafted from ivory white rice paper and finished with black-lacquered ash accents.
