The story behind this product

Michael Anastassiades’ instantly recognisable IC F1 Floor Lamp steps outside in this outdoor friendly version. Its base is reimagined in solid Italian marble, making it suitable for outdoor use but ensuring it looks luxurious when displayed inside. The lamp’s design was inspired by the impressive acrobatics of street performers, something that’s reflected through the spherical glass shade.

Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades

Born in Cyprus, Michael Anastassiades trained at the Royal College of Art before setting up his own London based studio in 1994. His work is featured in permanent collections at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Craft Council in London, the FRAC Centre in Orleans, France, and the MAK in Vienna.
