The epitome of Scandinavian style, the Fritz Hansen Essay Dining Table by Cecilie Manz effortlessly pairs natural solid wood with simple modernist form to create this communal and contemporary design. Open and spacious, this piece is made of just three separate frames that provide ample room for both dinnerware and the numerous pairs of legs gathered underneath. Crafted from thin strips of natural oak, this long, rectangular table top creates a unique pattern of parallel wood grains. Each side is supported by square framed legs that line up perfectly with the top to provide an almost continuous join that spans the floor. The sharp angled exterior of the legs is contrasted by curved edging along the inner corners and intricate joinery, while discreet raised platform gives the appearance that the table is gently hovering above the frame.
