Located in Gifu City, Woodpecker was founded in 2007 by Kenji Fukui after realising his affinity with working with wood through his family business. In Gifu, wood is an abundant resource and has supported Japanese culture generation after generation. Woodpecker was founded to support sustainability of wood, crafting pieces such as cutting boards, plates and spoons.
