Ohashi Ryoki

For over 60 years Ohashi Ryoki has been the leading manufacturer of traditional handcrafted Masu boxes in Ogaki City, Japan. Originally used to measure rice in Japan, the Masu is traditionally a square wooden box and has remained the same in form for 1300 years. Masu are made from Japanese cypress, and are today used as a vessel for serving sake as well as being a symbol of prosperity and happiness.
