George Carwardine
George Carwardine was the mastermind behind the spring tension system which is found on Anglepoise lamps today. In 1932 Carwardine unveiled his remarkable invention - a 4-spring lamp, combining unprecedented freedom of movement and perfect balance due to its patented constant spring mechanism.
