Heal’s has been designing, making and selling quality furniture for more than two centuries. Starting out as bed-makers in 1810, Heal’s has been at the forefront of some of the most influential interior design trends of the past 150 years, from Arts and Crafts in the 1890s to Bauhaus Modernism in the 1930s and the Scandinavian Design wave of the 1950s.

We are looking for an experienced Home & Textiles Buyer to join our Buying team at Heal’s Head Office on a full-time basis. This position is a 10-month maternity contract.

As a Buyer, you will propose, develop and manage a selected range of merchandise which reflects Heal’s trading strategy. You will look after rugs, cushions, throws, bed and bath linen.

• Previous experience of developing and implementing a strategy
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills and experience of successfully delivering brand and concessions’ strategies
• Real commercial acumen and financial savvy, able to make recommendations from market, customer trends and internal sales data
• Organised and proven ability to work independently in a task-oriented environment as well as effectively within a team
• Strong excel and analytical skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Self-awareness and strong entrepreneurial attitude, able to drive an ambitious plan to drive profitability of concessions and wholesale brands’ plans
• A minimum 3 years’ buying experience of working within Homewares or textiles
