On or off, the Cage pendants interplay of textures, movement and light creates intricate shadows as Steam bent ash spirals somersault within a fine dowel cage.
Corkscrewing behind a delicate yet rigid birch surround, Cage epitomises the spirit of nature — commanding and wild in perfect measure.

Handmade within Tom’s studio in Cornwall using laser cut woods which are traditionally steam bent and woven.

Tom Raffield
Believing that every piece of lighting must be beautiful in form and practical in function, Tom Raffield utilises the traditional craft of steam-bending wood to create expressive and practical pieces of art for your home. Timber is sustainably sourced with all wooden components being made from FSC certified timber. Steam bending is used as the main form of production - a low energy method that produces little waste product.
