Informed by harmony and balance in nature, Two Opposing forms part of Hepworth’s ‘Opposing Forms’ series, 1970, housed in the Wakefield Permanent Art Collection. The giclee print reproduced from the original screen print on paper is printed by King & McGaw in partnership with Hepworth Wakefield.
Barbara Hepworth is predominantly known for her sculptures but Hepworth also produced a series of drawings and paintings which showcased her incredible draftsmanship Through smooth, transparent layers, enriched with paint strokes and bold mark-making, Hepworth's drawings are, as she described, “sculptures born in the disguise of two dimensions”.
