SPECIALIST WASTE AND RECYCLING

Waste Electrical, Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

We offer a free recycling service for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that you’re able to return to our shops.

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest-growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If not recycled, electrical equipment will often end up in landfill where hazardous substances can leak out and cause soil and water contamination, which can harm wildlife and human health.

RECYCLING OLD ITEMS IN STORE

As a distributer of electrical products, we are pleased to offer a free take-back service in store for your old electronics when you buy a new one from us, like-for-like.

Your old item does not have to have been purchased from us originally, it just needs to be the same type as your replacement item.

Simply bring your old item to any of our stores with your receipt for your new purchase and we’ll take care of the rest.

Please ensure that the item is clean and, where applicable, any personal information has been removed from the device.

You can also find your local recycling points for electricals here

For Heal’s within Fenwick department stores, arrangements may differ slightly. Information on the Fenwick take back scheme can be found by visiting https://www.fenwick.co.uk/waste-electrical-and-electronic-equipment.html

IDENTIFYING WHAT CAN BE RECYCLED

All new electrical and electronic products sold have a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol to help you identify which products are recyclable or should be considered for repair or reuse.
