Jaime Hayon

Jaime Hayon is a Spanish designer whose work spans furniture, lighting, ceramics and art objects for over 40 houses, from Fritz Hansen and Cassina to Lladró and Baccarat. The pieces at Heal's cover his Ro armchair for Fritz Hansen, Wingback chairs for &Tradition, and sculptural glassware and ceramics across the rest of his collaborators.

Hayon's work is unmistakable, illustrative, exuberant, often with a single signature curve or colour pop that lifts an otherwise functional piece. The Ro armchair for Fritz Hansen and the Analog table for BD Barcelona are the most widely referenced from his catalogue.

The studio collaborates with over 40 houses including Fritz Hansen, &Tradition, Cassina, BD Barcelona, Baccarat, Lladró, Bosa and Magis. Each piece is released under the commissioning house's name, with the designer credited openly.

Each house produces its own commissions using its established supply chain, Fritz Hansen in Denmark, Cassina in Italy, BD Barcelona in Spain, and so on. Hayon's studio reviews prototypes and specifications, but production is entrusted to the manufacturer's expertise.

The Ro armchair for Fritz Hansen is the most versatile, a rounded, enveloping lounge seat that works as the single sculptural piece in a calm modernist room. The smaller Analog tables work well as companion pieces beside it.
