Undercover

Undercover is a British bedding brand producing premium cotton, linen and silk bed linen from small European mills, with a focus on long-staple fibres and quiet, classically cut silhouettes. The ranges cover sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases in washed, relaxed finishes that soften with every wash.

The bedding uses long-staple Egyptian cotton, European flax linen and mulberry silk, each fibre chosen for a specific property, cotton for year-round comfort, linen for temperature regulation, silk for skin and hair care. The provenance is stated on every product page.

Linen is temperature-regulating rather than inherently cold, it wicks moisture and allows air to circulate, which keeps sleepers comfortable across the year. For coolest conditions, layer a linen cover over a warmer duvet inner rather than switching to cotton.

Wash cotton on a 40°C cycle, linen on 30°C, both with a mild detergent and no fabric softener (which coats the fibre and reduces breathability). Line-drying improves the hand of both fibres; silk is dry-clean or cold-wash only.

Undercover's cotton bedding uses thread counts in the 300-400 range on long-staple Egyptian cotton, deliberately avoiding the inflated high-thread-count marketing common elsewhere. Fibre quality and weave structure matter more than raw thread count for long-term durability.
