Fitted Sheets

Our fitted sheets are woven in percale and sateen cotton, linen and heirloom Egyptian cotton, each finished with deep-cornered elastic to keep the bed taut through the night. Made to soften with every wash, they slip effortlessly over mattress depths up to 30cm, so the first layer of the bed stays quietly put.

A cotton percale between 200 and 400 threads per inch hits the balance of crisp handle and long-term durability. Higher counts feel denser but trap heat, while lower counts can thin quickly under weekly washes. For sateen weaves, 400 to 600 gives the signature silky drape without compromising the finish.

Egyptian cotton percale is the crisp, cool choice that softens over time. Linen has a relaxed, textured hand that suits slower mornings and breathes exceptionally well in summer. Sateen brings a sleek, hotel-feel drape. Owning one of each across the seasons is the considered route rather than committing to a single weave.

A good-quality fitted sheet washes and wears comfortably for three to five years of weekly use before the elastic loses its grip or the fabric thins. Rotating between two or three sets rather than washing the same one every week extends the working life significantly and keeps the bed feeling fresh.

Folding a fitted sheet starts by tucking the four elasticated corners into one another, forming a rough rectangle you can then fold in thirds. Storing each set inside one of its own pillowcases keeps the bed linen grouped and the cupboard tidy, so full sets never get separated between changes.
