Garden Accessories

Garden accessories finish an outdoor space beyond the furniture itself, with parasols, outdoor cushions, plant pots, lanterns and tableware that turn a patio from functional to considered. Our collection runs from wood and canvas parasols through terracotta and zinc plant pots, rechargeable garden lanterns, and outdoor-rated textiles designed for British weather.

The core outdoor dining setup needs a parasol for shade (or an awning), outdoor cushions rated for weather, a tray for carrying food and drinks across uneven paving, and lighting for evenings. A portable speaker and a windbreak round out the occasional extras. The specific accessories needed depend more on how the garden is used than on the size of the space.

Quality outdoor cushions use UV-stable acrylic covers and quick-dry foam, handling occasional rain and full sun exposure without damage. Seasonal storage under cover is still recommended for winter months, when continuous damp causes even quick-dry foam to eventually break down. Look for cushions clearly marked 'outdoor-rated' rather than general-purpose fabric.

Match the parasol size to the table it's shading: a 150cm parasol covers a 90cm square table, a 200cm parasol suits a 150cm round table, and a 300cm cantilever parasol can shade a full six-seater dining set. Cantilever designs (with the pole to one side rather than through the table centre) offer more flexibility in positioning.

Store cushions in a waterproof storage box or bring them indoors from October through March. Terracotta pots benefit from being raised off wet paving on pot feet, which prevents frost damage. Fabric-covered umbrellas should be dried fully before folding for storage. Zinc and powder-coated accessories cope outdoors year-round without issue.
