Candle Holders

Our candle holders run from minimal brass tea-light disks to architectural candelabras and hurricane storm lanterns. Each piece is chosen for the shadow it casts as much as its form unlit, bringing rhythm to a dining table, sideboard or mantel even when the wick sits cold.

A pair of tall single-stem holders at each end of the table creates height and formality, while a cluster of varied heights along the centre runs warmer and more informal. Keep the tallest flames below eye level when guests are seated, or above the line of sight entirely, so the light frames faces rather than blocking them.

A candle holder supports a single candle, whether a taper, pillar or tea light. A candelabra is a branched holder built for multiple candles, designed to spread light across a wider area and to read as a sculptural object in its own right. Both have a place: the single for intimacy, the candelabra for occasion.

Storm lanterns are safe indoors provided the candle inside is stable and the glass is rated for heat. The closed design means less risk of an open flame near curtains or soft furnishings, making them a good choice for bedrooms and hallways. Always place on a heat-resistant surface and never leave unattended.

Reversible holders with an interchangeable insert accept both tapers and tea lights, giving one piece two uses depending on the evening. For purpose-built taper holders, look for a tight-fitting cup that keeps the candle upright, and for tea-light holders, a base with good airflow so the flame burns cleanly to the end.
