Cocktail Glasses

Cocktail glasses define the evening as much as the drink poured into them, from the angled bowl of a proper martini glass to the soft curve of a Nick and Nora. Our collection brings together hand-cut crystal, coloured glass and considered stemware from the makers we trust, chosen for their weight in the hand.

A martini glass has a pronounced V-shaped bowl that holds the drink at a cooler temperature and projects the aromatics upward. A coupe has a shallower, rounder bowl, originally designed for champagne and now the preferred glass for shaken cocktails where the drink sits closer to the nose and the line is more forgiving.

A considered home bar needs four to six of each main cocktail type: martini or coupe, highball, and old-fashioned rocks glasses. That covers a dinner party of six without washing between courses and gives you enough variety to mix two different cocktails without serving them in the wrong vessel.

Machine-blown glassware generally handles a gentle dishwasher cycle, while hand-cut crystal is best washed by hand to protect the facets and stems. Look for the dishwasher-safe mark on the product page, and if you're alternating, keep crystal separate so it isn't jostled against tougher glass.

A heavy-bottomed rocks or lowball glass suits both negronis and old-fashioneds, with the weight in the base keeping the drink stable and the wider bowl letting the ice breathe. A 250ml capacity is the sweet spot, accommodating a large ice cube without crowding the pour.
