Duralex's Picardie is French drinkware at its most iconic, a tempered-glass tumbler that has been in continuous production in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin since 1954.     The Picardie is Duralex's signature faceted tumbler, a pressed tempered-glass design introduced in 1954 that has become a French café standard. Its ten-sided form is deliberately simple, and the stackable profile makes it efficient in kitchen cupboards.

    Every piece is made from tempered soda-lime glass, heat-treated so the surface is in compression. The result is a tumbler that resists thermal shock and shatters into small granules rather than sharp shards, far safer for a busy kitchen.

    All Duralex tumblers are dishwasher-safe on standard cycles, and the tempered construction resists etching over repeated washes. Hand-washing is fine but unnecessary; Duralex is built for the daily rhythm of a working kitchen.

    The Picardie runs from espresso-size 90ml through to a full 500ml pint, with several in-between formats for juice, water and wine. Mixing the sizes gives a layered, Continental table without committing to a formal stemware set.
