One of the most famous pieces in Danish design history interpreted for the modern home

Henning Koppel’s designs played a pivotal role in shaping the signature Georg Jensen look during the twentieth century.

The pitcher is one of his most famous pieces. First formed in 1952, its clean lines echo his earlier work. A sensuous form is accessorised by an elegantly shaped handle and exaggerated lip gently arching upwards along with its extended handle.

Designer Henning Koppel is credited as a founder of what we know as Danish design. His work, characterised by expansive and beautiful shapes broke new ground for Georg Jensen. Koppel’s designs featured clean lines and organic shapes that trod the lines of functionalism. His mission was to make everyday products beautiful and practical.
