Vitra's catalogue spans the full Eames collection (reproduced under exclusive licence from the family), Jean Prouvé, Verner Panton, Isamu Noguchi, George Nelson and Alexander Girard, plus contemporary work from Jasper Morrison, the Bouroullec brothers and Hella Jongerius.

Production is split between Vitra's main campus at Weil am Rhein on the German-Swiss border and the company's Birsfelden headquarters. Some specialist pieces are produced at partner workshops, textiles at Kvadrat, for example, but the core collections are made in-house.

Yes, Vitra holds the exclusive European licence to produce Eames furniture, and the Eames family remain actively involved in specification and quality control. Every piece carries the Eames family and Vitra stamps, which distinguish them from unauthorised copies.

Each piece has a specific care sheet supplied with the product, typically covering upholstery cleaning, timber refresh and hardware tightening. Vitra offers a service-part network across the UK and Europe, so even long-discontinued pieces can usually be refurbished rather than replaced.
