Hallway Furniture

A hallway is a statement space – the first room a visitor sees, and the room that anchors a household's daily comings and goings. Our luxury hallway furniture range covers consoles, benches, hooks, umbrella stands and shoe storage, designed to balance style with the practical demands of daily traffic.

Storage first, decoration second. A bench with hidden shoe storage and a row of wall hooks deals with the daily entrance routine; once that's in place, a console table, mirror and statement light fitting bring the personality. Trying to add character without solving storage usually leaves the hallway looking pretty but cluttered.

Console tables as slim as 25cm deep work in tight hallways – just enough to take a lamp, keys and a small dish for post. Slightly deeper consoles (35-40cm) can hold a stack of books or a small vase as well. Anything deeper than 45cm starts narrowing the walking corridor too much for most family homes.

Tonally, yes – the same timber palette and metal finishes used elsewhere will pull the hallway into the same conversation. Stylistically, hallways can absorb a slightly more dramatic gesture than living rooms – a bold wallpaper, a heavier light fitting, a sculptural mirror – because you spend less time there and the impact registers each time you pass through.

Mirrors are the single biggest lever – a wall-mounted mirror reflects light and visually doubles the floor area. Wall-hung furniture (floating consoles, wall-mounted hooks rather than freestanding stands) keeps the floor clear and reads as lighter. Light-coloured floors and walls help; pendant lighting at scale anchors the space without crowding it.
