    Frandsen is best known for its Ball pendant, a spun-metal dome that became a Danish design staple in the 1960s, and for the Job desk lamp. The current collections keep that graphic, sculptural sensibility across pendants, table lamps and floor designs.

    Design and engineering happen in Denmark, with metal spinning and finishing at Frandsen's long-standing workshop on Zealand. Some pieces are assembled elsewhere in Europe, but colour-matching and quality control remain in-house.

    The bolder colours and sculptural shapes work well over kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living spaces, where a single strong fitting can anchor the room. Softer metallics sit comfortably in bedrooms and hallways.

    Frandsen uses industrial-grade powder coats applied over primed steel, which resist chipping and fading. A soft cloth is usually all that is needed to keep the colours sharp; harsher cleaners can dull the matte surface over time.
