Coat Stands & Hooks

A considered coat stand does more than hang a jacket: it defines the first metre of a home and determines the mood guests meet on arrival. Our designs in oak, beech and powder-coated steel hold a family's daily rotation without sprawling, leaning toward sculpture when empty and staying graceful when fully loaded.

A freestanding coat stand moves with the home and suits narrower hallways where drilling isn't an option, standing in a corner or beside a console. Wall-mounted hooks fix the arrangement but free up floor space and work harder when several family members' coats share the same footprint.

A four-to-six-hook coat stand comfortably holds three heavier coats or five lighter jackets without listing or crowding the arms. Overloading stretches the base's stability, especially in lighter timber builds, so keep the daily edit pared back and store off-season coats in the wardrobe.

Near the front door but out of the swing path gives easy grab-and-go access without the stand catching the door. In compact hallways, angling the stand into a corner preserves flow, while wider hallways can accommodate a coat stand against the side wall opposite a console.

Powder-coated steel in dark tones such as charcoal or bronze hides marks and scuffs better than paler timber or brass. If you prefer a natural wood, choose a finish with a harder oil or lacquer, and sit the stand on a small mat to catch the drip from winter coats before it reaches the base.
