Hadeland Glassverk

Hadeland Glassverk has been blowing Norwegian glass since 1762, producing tableware, vases and sculptural pieces from its historic works north of Oslo. Every piece passes through the hands of master glassblowers trained in the Norwegian tradition, and the fires at the works have run continuously for over 260 years.

Every piece is produced at the original works in Jevnaker, north of Oslo, where Hadeland has operated continuously since 1762. The site is one of the oldest working glassworks in Scandinavia and a recognised national heritage destination.

The pieces are mouth-blown by master glassblowers trained in Norwegian technique, giving each one a subtle weight and hand-shaped character. The collections range from clear functional tableware to richly coloured sculptural vases and candleholders.

Hand-wash mouth-blown glassware in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth; avoid dishwashers, which can etch the surface over time. Sculptural vases should be dusted with a soft brush and stored away from direct sun.

The works-direct packaging and Norwegian provenance make Hadeland a distinctive wedding, anniversary or housewarming gift. Many customers choose a single sculptural piece rather than a set, as each piece stands as a statement on its own.
