Deluxe Woolroom Bedding

Deluxe Woolroom bedding is one of the few wool-filled bedding ranges that's genuinely machine-washable. The Chatsworth collection covers wool duvets, pillows and mattress protectors – fully traceable from British farm to finished product, breathable, naturally hypoallergenic and softer with each wash rather than flatter.

Wool regulates temperature better than either alternative – it wicks moisture away from the body and breathes naturally, which means it works in summer and winter rather than forcing a duvet swap. It's also naturally hypoallergenic and resists dust mites, both of which matter for allergy-prone sleepers.

It is – which is unusual for wool bedding. Most wool duvets and pillows are dry-clean only because washing damages the loft. Woolroom uses a stabilised wool that can go through a 30-degree wool-cycle wash, dry on a line and return to its original loft.

Woolroom maintains full farm traceability for the British wool used in the Chatsworth range – the brand can identify which farms and which flocks the wool comes from. This matters both for ethical sourcing and for the quality consistency of the finished product.

A quality wool duvet should last 10-15 years with care. Wash it at the end of each season (spring and autumn), air it on a sunny day every few months, and use a duvet cover at all times to protect the casing. Replace when the loft has flattened noticeably and stops recovering after washing.
