    The Brunel range is built around a single design idea: American oak combined with slim powder-coated steel legs and details. The pairing reads as both industrial and mid-century, which is part of why it's worked across very different interior styles. It's also exclusive to Heal's and made in the UK, so the pieces aren't available anywhere else.

    The full set includes a bed (in two sizes), a tall chest of drawers, a wide chest, a dressing table, a bedside table and matching wardrobes. The pieces are designed to function as a co-ordinated suite, but the timber and steel palette also lets them mix successfully with other furniture.

    Yes. The collection is designed in our London studio and produced in British workshops, which is part of why it carries a longer guarantee than many imported alternatives. The American oak is sustainably sourced and the steel components are powder-coated in the UK.

    It's one of the better collections for compact rooms. The slim steel legs raise the pieces clear of the floor, which keeps the visual weight low; the oak is used as a thin facing rather than chunky solid stock; and the bed frame in particular has a low headboard profile.
