    A sculptural light even when unlit, the A331 offers a timeless interpretation of a beehive.

    One of Alvar Aalto’s most iconic designs, the A331 Beehive Pendant Light was originally designed in 1953 for Finland’s University of Jyväskylä. Its rows of perforated steel rings cast a warm, diffused light and lend the light its distinctive beehive aesthetic. Thanks to its finessed design, this remarkable light maintains its distinctive sculptural presence even when unlit.
