    Wireworks is a British brand with design and manufacturing based in Bristol, using oak sourced from managed European forests and painted in-house. The full production run is UK-based, making Wireworks one of the few mainstream bathroom brands manufacturing domestically. Each product page carries the FSC certification detail for material transparency.

    Wireworks uses a multi-coat marine-grade lacquer on all oak components, designed specifically for bathroom humidity and occasional splashes. With reasonable ventilation after showers (an open window or running extractor for 10 minutes), the finish holds up across decades of daily use without warping or mildew formation.

    Most Wireworks mirrors include D-ring hangers pre-fitted, making single-handed wall installation straightforward with a stud-finder and two masonry anchors. Larger cabinet mirrors with internal shelving benefit from professional installation, particularly if electrics are being connected behind the mirror for lighting.

    Wireworks uses FSC-certified European oak, water-based lacquers and low-VOC paints, reducing the environmental footprint of each piece. Manufacturing in Bristol rather than overseas also cuts transport emissions substantially. The brand publishes its sustainability criteria and progress openly for anyone assessing the full environmental impact.
