    Ligne Pure rugs are made in Belgium, with hand-loomed and hand-knotted production split between the brand's Flanders workshop and long-term partner weavers in India. The Belgian base oversees design, quality control and finishing, while the Indian workshops contribute the traditional hand-knotting craft that pure machine production cannot replicate.

    The Ligne Pure collection covers pure New Zealand wool, wool-silk blends for subtle highlights, and viscose for pieces with a softer sheen. Most rugs are blended rather than pure single-fibre, as the combination gives a richer underfoot feel than any single fibre alone. Each product page lists the specific material mix for reference.

    A hand-knotted rug takes several months to produce and contains 100,000 individual knots per square metre in a finer build. The result is a rug that lies flatter, wears more evenly, and develops a patina over decades rather than wearing out within a single. For a statement rug in a main living space, the investment often pays off over 20 to 30 years of daily use.

    Vacuum a Ligne Pure rug weekly without a beater bar, rotate it 180 degrees every 6 to 12 months to even out sun exposure, and address spills immediately with a dry cloth to absorb, rather than rubbing. Professional cleaning every 3 to 5 years keeps the fibres supple. Avoid machine-washing wool rugs, as the felting damages the pile permanently.
