LED Lights

LED lighting is now the default choice for new installations, offering decade-plus lamp life, a fraction of the energy consumption of older technology and precise dimming characteristics. Our LED light range includes integrated pendants, floor and table lamps, wall fixtures and ambient accent lighting. Every LED source is selected for high colour rendering at warm-white temperatures suited to domestic use.

Some integrated LED fixtures allow the LED module to be replaced when eventually needed, while others are sealed lifetime units rated for 25,000 to 50,000 hours. Product pages specify the approach for each model. Lifetime-rated LEDs typically outlast their fixtures in normal domestic use.

Colour Rendering Index (CRI) measures how accurately a light source reveals colours compared to natural daylight, with 100 representing perfect rendering. Domestic LEDs should sit at 90 CRI or above to flatter skin tones, fabrics and food properly. Low-CRI LEDs (below 80) make rooms look dull and are worth avoiding.

Dimming requires both an LED-compatible bulb or fixture and a dimmer rated for LED loads. Mismatched components can cause flicker, buzzing or failure to dim smoothly across the full range. Product pages list dimming compatibility, and an electrician can confirm suitability for your circuit.

LEDs consume roughly 80 per cent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs for equivalent light output and last many times longer, reducing both electricity use and landfill. The initial purchase cost is higher but typically recovered through savings within two to three years. Choosing quality LEDs also reduces the replacement frequency.
