Large Mirrors

A large mirror transforms a room by doubling the visible light and apparent space, and our large mirror range includes statement floor mirrors, oversized wall-hung pieces and architectural full-length mirrors. Finishes span antiqued brass, blackened steel, solid timber and painted frames, in rectangles, ovals and rounded shapes. Every mirror uses high-quality silvered glass for true reflection.

Large mirrors work best opposite or adjacent to a window, where they bounce natural light into the room and often double its apparent size. Positioning above a fireplace or console table anchors the mirror to a focal point. Avoid placing large mirrors on walls with busy wallpaper or heavy artwork nearby.

We consider mirrors above roughly 100cm in any dimension to be large, with statement pieces extending to 200cm and above. Full-length floor mirrors typically stand at 180 to 200cm for use in dressing scenarios. Oversized pieces above this warrant professional fitting for safety.

Mirrors above 15kg should be fixed into wall studs or with heavy-duty anchors rated well above the mirror's weight. Our customer service team can supply weight specifications for any piece in the range. For the heaviest mirrors, a professional fitter is recommended rather than DIY installation.

Leaning floor mirrors are stable when resting against a flat wall at a slight angle, though they should still be secured at the top with a discreet wall cord to prevent tipping. This is particularly important in family homes with children or pets. Secured mirrors still read as leaning but can't topple.
