The Isola range was designed by Lucy Kurrein, a London-based furniture designer known for her sculptural, architectural approach to upholstered seating. Kurrein developed Isola exclusively for Heal's, combining British craftsmanship with a highly contemporary aesthetic. Her work has been exhibited at Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Isola is defined by its bold sculptural silhouette, raised metal legs and softly rounded upholstery, producing a sofa that reads as a design piece as much as a seat. The lifted base keeps the sofa visually light, while the generous proportions anchor open-plan rooms. It is designed to be noticed.

Isola works best in open-plan living rooms and contemporary schemes, where its sculptural form has room to breathe. Pair with pared-back rugs, simple coffee tables and architectural lighting to emphasise the design. Avoid placing it against overly busy backdrops, which can compete with the silhouette.

Isola is available in a curated selection of Heal's contemporary upholstery fabrics, including boucléSLF textured weaves, wool blends and velvets. The bolder the fabric colour, the more architectural the sofa reads. Swatches can be requested to compare textures and tones before ordering.
