Gallery Frames

A considered frame elevates any print, photograph or piece of original art, and our gallery frame collection covers sizes from A5 postcards through to oversized statement pieces. Available in natural oak, black stained ash, white painted timber and polished metal, each frame is glazed with museum-grade acrylic or glass. Precision-milled mitres keep the lines crisp.

Frame size depends on both the artwork and the wall it will hang on. As a rule, choose a frame at least 10cm larger than the artwork on each side to allow for a generous mount. Oversized frames with deep mounts give smaller prints real presence.

Natural oak and black are the two most versatile frame colours, working with almost any artwork and wall tone. White frames suit light, airy rooms and pale-backed prints particularly well. Metal frames add a crisp, contemporary note that flatters photography and graphic work.

Mixing frame colours and widths works beautifully on a gallery wall, as long as one element remains consistent, for example the mount colour or the overall size range. Sticking to two or three frame finishes keeps the grouping feeling intentional. Random mixing tends to read as clutter.

Glass gives the clearest, most archival finish and is the traditional choice for framed art. Acrylic is lighter, shatter-resistant and better for oversized frames or homes with young children. Museum-grade versions of both offer UV protection to keep colours from fading.
