    A single adult typically has enough folded clothes for a five-drawer chest, with the top two drawers taking underwear and socks, the middle drawer holding folded shirts, and the two deeper drawers below for jumpers and jeans. Couples often pair two three-drawer chests or a single six-drawer wide chest, giving each person their own storage without sharing space.

    A chest of drawers is usually four to six drawers high, sitting at around 90 to 110cm tall. A tallboy runs taller at 130 to 160cm, with more drawers stacked in the same width footprint.
