    Start with the bed. Its size dictates the rest of the room – a king bed on a small wall closes the space; a double on a wide wall leaves room for a chest and bedside tables. Choose the mattress next, then the bed frame, then bedside furniture. Wardrobes are usually the last decision, often dictated by what fits.
