Armchairs

Our armchair collection covers sculptural accent chairs for a reading nook through to deep, enveloping models built for long evenings. Tailored in velvet, linen, bouclé and leather, each frame is made to pair with a sofa without duplicating it, giving the room a second seating point with its own character and silhouette.

Echo one element of the sofa and contrast another. Matching fabric across both pieces can feel matched-set rather than curated, so picking up the same wood tone or leg style while shifting to a different fabric reads as considered. A bolder colour or texture in the armchair often lifts a neutral sofa beautifully.

Accent chairs earn their keep in the places a sofa can't reach: beside a window with a side table for morning coffee, angled into a corner to finish a reading zone, or paired in twos across from the sofa to shape a conversation area. Angling the chair slightly inward keeps sightlines to the sofa open.

A compact armchair sits around 75 to 85cm wide, with a slim arm profile and shallower seat depth that doesn't dominate a tight footprint. Legs raised clear of the floor, rather than a skirt to the ground, keep the room feeling airy and let the chair tuck closer to a side table or wall.

Wing-backed and high-backed armchairs cradle the head and shoulders, making them the natural choice for a quiet evening with a book. A deeper seat with a soft back cushion suits curling up sideways, while a more structured seat keeps the spine supported when you're reading upright for an hour or more.
