Designed by Magnus Long exclusively for Heal’s, the Massimo Sofa combines Bauhaus-inspired design with contemporary Italian craftsmanship. Its softly rounded arms, generous cushioning and distinctive exposed wooden frame, available in walnut or stained black ash, create a sculptural yet inviting silhouette. Expertly upholstered in Italy in a choice of fabric or leather, Massimo balances considered design with everyday comfort.

Massimo is available in both full-aniline Italian leathers and a selection of contemporary fabric upholstery, allowing the same silhouette to suit different rooms. Leather reads as more formal and ages into a rich patina, while fabric keeps the sofa softer and more relaxed. Swatches can be requested for comparison.

Massimo is built on a hardwood frame with sprung seating and high-resilience foam and feather cushions, designed to withstand daily use for decades. Full-aniline leather is the most forgiving upholstery in family homes, while tightly-woven fabrics cope well with pets and children. Rotate cushions weekly.

Massimo suits open-plan living rooms and contemporary schemes, where its slim legs and tailored silhouette can be appreciated from multiple angles. Pair with solid timber coffee tables and neutral rugs for a calm finish. Avoid overly busy backdrops, which can compete with the sofa's confident lines.
