Inspired by the op-art movement, WHIRL’s spiral form plays with internal reflections to create layers of abstract patterns of light.

WHIRL is Tom Dixon’s latest experiment in mirrored reflections, inspired by the op-art movement. The shade of the floor lamp's spiral form creates a hypnotic play of light and shadow, producing layers of abstract patterns through internal reflections. Lightweight yet durable, each polycarbonate shade is crafted in Germany using advanced injection blow moulding and vacuum metallisation for a semi-metallised finish. Available in Silver or Gold, Whirl makes a bold statement overhead.

Produced in a state-of-the-art factory in Germany.
The design of the shade creates layers of abstract patterns inspired by works of the op-art movement.
A vacuum metallisation process deposits a thin layer of metal on the interior of the shade, offering a semi-metallised finish.
