A framed print of Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, showcasing his pioneering pointillist technique and defining the Neo-Impressionist movement.

Georges Seurat was a French post-Impressionist artist best known for devising the painting technique pointillism. ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’ is Seurat’s most famous work. Executed on a large canvas using his pointillist technique the artist depicted a number of Parisians at a park on the banks of the River Seine. The painting is considered the founding work of the neo-impressionist movement.
