The Rhéa occasional table offers a poetic vision inspired by plants and nature. It combines two materials: the solid wood base and the travertine top. The structure of the base is made of oak with a natural varnish. The top is in open pore travertine, with 2 layers of a waterproofing agent, the edge of the top remains raw (unpolished). The travertine top (limestone rock) has small cavities, enabling to feel a grained and irregular texture to the touch. Its colour reflects light. Travertine is worked and re-cut to form the shape of a leaf.
