The Prisme vases, with their precisely cut grooves, are particularly complex to produce. Each vase is hand-finished and passed through a mill, where the grooves are cut under a jet of water. For the oval version, as creating a perfectly straight line by hand is impossible without a guide, the grooves are pre-formed in a steel mould before being milled and finally polished.
