A fusion of heritage and contemporary design, international artist and designer Jaime Hayon unveils his latest creation, Montera, a table lamp that seamlessly blends past and present.

Inspired by the moment Hayon discovered a handful of old Spanish post cards, Montera pays homage to the heritage of Spain. Displaying a clear correlation with the traditional flair and pageantry of the country, both Montera’s name and silhouette derive from the bullfighting hat of the iconic Matador, showcasing a seamless integration of cultural significance into modern design. Hayon’s signature use of colour shines through, with two captivating variants: Forest and Sky, and Amber and Ruby. These combinations add a pop of colour to tables, bookshelves or windowsills, while capturing the spirit of Hayon’s playful design philosophy and desire to bring joy to people’s lives.

Jaime Hayon is a prolific Spanish artist and designer known for his eclectic and imaginative approach to design.
The lamp features a polished brass dimmer enabling users to adjust the light intensity according to their mood.
The base is formed through an extrusion process of aluminium while the shade is deep drawn into the 3D shape.
