[ Product Story ]

Originally designed in 1964 by Robin Day, the Forum silhouette is an icon of mid-century design, now revitalised through modern production.

Originally designed in 1964 by Robin Day, the Forum is an icon of mid-century design. The sofa and armchair feature a hardwood frame crafted with beautiful finger joint detail, supported by chrome plated legs mounted to the outside of the frame. The visible construction is integral; Day purposefully exposed these elements to showcase the beauty of its form.

Case has worked in close partnership with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation to bring this iconic design back into production, nearly 60 years after it was first launched. Design drawings and an example of the original production were studied to maintain the integrity of Day’s design, with upgrades using with modern materials.

Modern Dacron-wrapped foam cushions ensure ultimate comfort and cushion structure.
Solid wood replaces the tropical hardwood veneers used in the 1960s.
Metal-reinforced frame for strength and longevity.

Heal’s uses our own specialist two-man crews, who will deliver to a room of your choice. They will fully assemble your furniture, check their work and the remove all packaging, which will disposed of responsibly.

We offer hassle-free returns and all online furniture orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery, regardless of reason.

Contact us and we will arrange for a crew to come out and collect the furniture. There's no charge if it's faulty, but we do charge for change-of-mind returns.
