An iconic Eames office chair combining soft cushioned upholstery, a refined aluminium frame and adjustable ergonomic support for exceptional working comfort.

The Soft Pad Chair EA 217 combines iconic mid-century design with exceptional comfort. Its slender aluminium structure is softened by individually sewn-on cushions, creating a distinctive balance between clean architectural lines and generous upholstery. Designed for working and home office environments, the medium-high backrest offers comfortable support.

Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1969, the EA 217 forms part of Vitra’s iconic Soft Pad Group, combining a refined aluminium structure with generously cushioned upholstery.
Sewn-on polyurethane foam cushions providing a softer, more supportive sit while retaining the chair’s clean silhouette.
An adjustable backward tilt can be tailored to the sitter’s weight and locked in the forward position, while continuous height adjustment, a five-star swivel base and castors provide flexibility while working.
